A person called Unknownz21 (@URedditor) who has a good reputation but has not leaked much information, shared a picture that seems to display the lower part of the iPhone 15 Pro. This picture confirms previous leaks’ claims that the new iPhone will have a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port.
All smartphone makers are now required by the European Union to use the USB Type-C port, and even though Apple was not keen on complying, it has agreed to do so. However, the company may only allow the use of authorized accessories with this new port. According to Unknownz21, the E75 Lightning Controller will be substituted with an E85 Port Controller.
Additionally, the phone seems to have curved edges, which is in line with earlier rumors and images that suggested the iPhone 15 Pro would have rounded back edges.
Apart from this, the iPhone 15 Pro was expected to have a titanium frame, and the image does indicate that the phone has a titanium finish, giving it a matte appearance.
Although the iPhone 15 Pro in the picture is likely not a final product, the retail version is expected to look quite similar.
The iPhone 15 Pro may also feature curved glass, narrower bezels, and solid-state buttons, among other small tweaks, even though the design will not change significantly.
The device is also highly likely to have a new 3nm chip and may include a periscope lens, although it is probable that the latter will only be available in the top-of-the-line model, known as the iPhone 15 Ultra instead of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Whether these alterations will be enough to make the iPhone 15 Pro the best phone of 2023 is still uncertain.
