The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has given Cellulant the green light to continue providing online and offline payment solutions to businesses in Nigeria. This comes after renewing the company’s Payment Service Solution Provider License. Cellulant’s services include collections, check-out, biller aggregation, and payout services. Through its Tingg digital payments platform, businesses can make and accept payments online and offline. Tingg offers an integrated digital payments solution that simplifies the payment experience for end-users and provides merchants with tools to manage their collections from a single dashboard.

Cellulant’s Group CEO, Akshay Grover, expressed his satisfaction with the license renewal, stating that it is a sign of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s confidence in the company’s team and partners. Frances Diribe, Cellulant’s Group Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, also emphasized the company’s commitment to meeting the highest standards of risk and compliance management. Cellulant’s services are currently used by thousands of businesses across Nigeria, enabling them to easily collect and make payments, monitor transactions, reconcile, and settle cash.

In addition to Nigeria, Cellulant is also licensed to operate as a Payments Service Provider in other African countries, such as Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Botswana, and Zambia. The company has achieved global security, privacy, business continuity, and service management standards and holds certifications such as ISO 27001 (ISMS), ISO 27701 (PIMS), ISO 22301 (BCMS), ISO 20000-1 (Service Management), and PCI-DSS.
